Central Market (Pasar Seni) in Kuala Lumpur formerly operated as a wet market in 1888. It served as a significant landmark in the colonial and modern-day Kuala Lumpur. As the market began to grow, a permanent structure was constructed to accommodate all the suppliers. By the 1930s, the structure was further developed on the current façade.
